In Egypt, women make up around 42.4% of human doctors and 91.1% nursing staff of who are actually working for the Ministry of Health, in addition to 73.1% of nursing staff in hospitals and therapeutic facilities in the private sector are women1. Women in the health sector are more likely to be exposed to the virus and dealing with enormous stress balancing paid and unpaid work roles.
