Overview of sustainable development objectives in general

"On 1 January 2016, the 17 sustainable development goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, adopted by world leaders in September 2015, were officially launched at a historic international summit, and countries are mobilizing efforts to achieve these goals in 2016-2030."

Follow-up Indicators for the National Strategy for Empowering Egyptian Women 2030:

The National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women is divided into four main areas: political empowerment, economic empowerment, social empowerment, protection. Each of the four Pillars has been measured and monitored through a set of quantitative indicators that are easy to observe and measure to determine the status of women in general and the evolution that occurs from one point to another time point and targeted targets are set for reaching 2030. These four Pillars include two main aspects that have a significant impact on achieving quantitative goals and improving the status of women. These are the culture and perceptions of individuals towards the empowerment of women in the four aspects, which are measured through supporting indicators, in addition to the legal empowerment that guarantees women their rights under the Egyptian constitution which are displayed through tab laws and legislation.

These indicators were placed on a separate tab as a tool to follow up on the implementation of the objectives of the women's strategy, in addition to monitoring the situation of Egyptian women in general, and intermediate targets were calculated in the years 2020 and 2025 to measure the achievement of both short- and long-term goals.
